I wish you a 2019 of falling … and getting up.
This is one of my favourite photos ever, taken the day in 2016 that my family and I visited Baan Tharn Namchai at Khao Lak in Thailand. It was a day we won’t forget in a hurry.
A home for more than 100 orphaned Thai children, we spent the day playing with kids who should be more troubled, more sad and more self-pitying than they are. These kids changed us.
Powered by the incredible work of Peter Baines and the team at Hands Across The Water, these remarkable homes are funded through hard work and dedication to raising awareness and getting others mobilised behind a vision that all kids deserve a positive future. A main plank of that work is the Future Of Leadership Conferences … and this year I’ll be speaking at them!
These events in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Newcastle are incredible and are loaded with amazing, prominent and powerful speakers – all of whom are giving their time to make a difference.
Learning for competitive advantage is one thing. Learning how to make the world a slightly better place is a much higher calling. But if you can spend a day doing both – why wouldn’t you?
